Win or Lose

Read a story about lawyers from an old magazine.
***********************************************

There was a retired lawyers who had an young apprentice. He taught the young man everything in laws and how to win a case in court. Before he completed his training with his master, the young apprentice agreed to pay all his training fees after his first court case in court.

However, this young fella was smart, he worked on cases that didn't require appearance in court. He has never won any court case in court himself and hence no need to pay his master anything.

The old master felt short changed and came out with an idea.

He sued the young man and the judge ordered both party to appear in court to settle the dispute.

Thus, a dilemma for the young man:

- If he loses the court case, he would have to pay.

- If he wins, it would be his first case won in court and hence fulfilling the agreement. He also needs to pay.

Its a die if you do it, die if you don't situation.

So, what is your take in this?
